
Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was conceived in Reading, England on the 9th of January 1982. While Kate could eventually become monarch, she was brought up in a family of upper middle class along with her two siblings. Her mother, Kate's, launched a highly successful company known as Party Pieces. It sells party items and was valued at around $45 million as of 2011. However the strong connections she has to the royal family is apparent. As early as 1926 it was known that the Middleton family had already been in contact in close contact with royalty. Trust funds, set up in the past century and have proved advantageous to several Middleton generations. Kate Middleton, who was only two at the age of two, was able to move with her family to Jordan where her father had a job as a pilot for British Airways. When they returned home to England around the age of four, Kate Middleton was enrolled in St. Andrew's school. In the following years, she was a part of the most prestigious boarding schools such as Marlborough College or Downe House School before going on to the St. Andrews College in Scotland.
