Dina was born in Forest Hills Queens and raised in the Queens area. However, she moved to Dix Hills Long Island before the end of her junior high year. She has two younger siblings as well as an elder brother. Her career began in entertainment when she was 9 years old, and began modeling. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she was studying the acting of Sanford Meisner methods for about three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among the actors who received such education. Her first performance came in Beverly Hills 90210. This required her moving out to Los Angeles. After being offered the lead part for Johnny Mnemonic where she did all of the stunts her own, she established her self as an actor that is physically fit. It was through the agents of Matt LeBlanc that she was able score a recurring part on Friends.
